Travel in groups.

You are a college student and it is a part of your college life that you will obviously hang out in groups, so you must know how you can  reap the benefits of it. Go in with your group and make purchases. It is recommended that you can share a warehouse membership (Sam's Club, Costco, BJ, etc.) and it is advised that you should always purchase your items together.

This way you can save a lot of money on your membership fees, grocery bill, and on gas. If you planning for a holiday, then go in groups (of at least ten), get group vacation discounts that will surely save a lot of your money. It will also help you making the trip more enjoyable. Trust me...

Get "all-around" tools.

I would like to give you an example that would surely clear my point. Instead of purchasing a specific "school" calendar , you can purchase a calendar that suits your every kind of work, school, and personal schedule. The point is that there is no need to pay twice for the same thing, it is recommended that you should get the right tools the first time only. This would ensure that you can use them during your entire collegiate career and beyond.

Use your student discount.

You would be shocked after knowing as to what all you could get using your student discount. From free oil changes , entry tickets, to discounted software , clothes and even hair cuts . All you need to know is where to find them. You can go and ask your Student Affairs Office of the school, Alumni Services, or even go to the extend of asking the Student Government Associations, but please don't forget checking your student paper. You also ask your friends if they know anything about it, but simply asking your local merchant would be enough enough. Keep your student id always with you!

Be Green.

Recycling is what comes to my mind when I think of going green. It is actually true also. It can gain you some cash as well. Take the cans to the nearest recycling center and get money.
Mind you , they will only pay you a few cents, but never mind... SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING... Use your creativity and make your old clothes entirely new. After all college life is all about doing experiments. Right? Show everyone as to how creative you are!!!

Get it used.

Don't bother as to what others have to say about your purchases! It is you who has to take care about your purchases. It is better that YOU GET USED TO WHAT OTHERS HAS TO SAY ABOUT YOUR SECOND HAND STUFF... At the end of the day, it is you who has to save your money.

Buy used clothes, computers, cars, furnishings, you name it and you most likely can get it used, but never pick up just anything! Decorate them in the most creative manner! What say?
