When it comes to develop classroom plans and teaching methods, teachers follow some collaborative learning techniques, which involves intergroup learning and the use of verbal interaction. When the teacher is not teaching, he gives the space to his students to learn through interpersonal interaction.
Some teachers also use peer groups for classroom management, in order to create more time for personal interaction with individual students or some follow more fun way in class room to motivate their students. However, some teachers believe that collaborative learning is the best way o provide valuable opportunities to students to work together across ethnic and gender lines.
Here is a classroom plan that enhances effective classroom management of time and organization of activities for children:
You need to prepare a schedule that allows time for learning along with fun and activities. On daily basis arrange the schedule. You can take your students outside to read, for drawing. The idea is to have a theme day. For example: ask your students to dress in the colors of the rainbow in particular day of the month or ask older students to come in some historical attire and bring along something that relates to that attire. Discussing these makes a good start for the day.
Ask your students to write once or twice a week about what they learn in that particular day. Again, you can take them outside and ask them to study something specific or anything that surrounds them and ask ask to write about it. This is a fun way to learn.
You can also assigned definite classroom activities different students individually or in pairs. For instance, make someone the monitor of the class, someone to clean the blackboard, someone the chair stacker, someone the timekeeper etc. Such activities can help the students in developing their sense of responsibility.
The classroom management theories explain that the day should be planned such that it gives time and opportunity for all students to have a special moment. According to experts every student should have a focus week, in which he/she can have his special moments in the beginning of every class and gets to share his life with the students. This helps the student in his/her interpersonal learning as well as linguistic learning. The most important thing here is that the students feel themselves special.
