The African American population had been the most backward proved people in the country for the past decades. As a result, a very few opportunities for the Blacks were available and a very less opportunities were there for them to prove their worth. The worst thing was that they had very few opportunities to study.

Meanwhile, an all together new race of African Americans is coming in front of the all-White dominated society including the all-White fields. These fields include the areas like Medicine, Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, and Business.

However, their participation in these mentioned fields is still unnoticed. There is a lot of requirement for African American to do a lot of things in order to get noticed and be recognized. Although we can say that there are some African Americans who have done really well in the field but still they are not recognized for their worth as they should have been.

The best thing is that there are a lot of places like some colleges and institutions that are dedicated to provide the African American population
with ample offers to study and become famous and respectable in their chosen fields.

If I have to take example of any one of them, then I would sat that the United Negro College Fund has been helping African Americans to gain good quality education for years. They have even provided ample financial assistance that is given to 39 Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the United States. But what actually are these 39 Historically Black Colleges and Universities?

The 39 Historically Black Colleges and Universities are schools which are geared up with so many facilities and the fact that  African Americans can study with relatively low tuition fee as compared to other institutions. But that does not mean that these institutions lack any kind of facility.

Some of the institutions are Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

And as the involvement of women is enhancing on this planet, there are a lot of schools, colleges as well as institutions that offer African American women to study and finish with a degree.
