A lot of students are afraid of SAT, which the most longest as well as the most comprehensive tests of all times, according to them. They have a fear that they would not be able to go to a college if they fail in the test. Although the fact is that the scores that you will get in the test, are not enough to judge you as far as your abilities are concerned. But the good news is that it is easy for which to prepare.

Most colleges have different criteria as to how hoe they take your SAT score into consideration.

Many colleges have a rule that they will not accept students who have their scores less than a particular level on the test. It is a fact that all the institutions are aware of the fact that these scores are not a measure of your I.Q. or a real measure of how likely you are to succeed; but actually these scores relates with the level of one's discipline to concentrate in studies and, frankly, an easy screening method for applicants.

How can you prepare for SAT? Let me give you certain tips:

1. The first tip would be to take practice SAT. Trust me there is no better preparation than taking practice SAT which would help you review your mistakes in a better way.

These practice tests are available at almost all the book stores and online. For every time you take a practice test, your motto should be improve your grades by several points.

2. Brush up Mathematics

Much of the questions that are asked in the exam are linked with the former level high school material, specially the subject of maths. Even if you are good in mathematics, there are chances that you might not remember it. So it is advised that you should practice your old geometry and algebra books to do well in this section of the test.

3. Vocabulary Needs Practice

A lot of the section of the exam is based on vocabulary. The exam is usually geared up unusual words that sound like simpler words but actually have different meanings. If you have a limited vocabulary, then it would be very hard for you to work on your vocabulary within weeks, but it can be helpful to try.

4. Become a Writer

Write as much as you can. Writing is a skill that only gets better with practice. Try writing some articles that are linked with the styles of SAT. do this exercise everyday.

5. A proper rest is a must. Make sure that you eat proper meals as well as  get a lot of sleep the night before the test.

6. Don't Guess

Never indulge yourself in any kind of guess work. This might end you in negative scores!

BEST OF LUCK
