One often notices a certain degree of complacence and satisfaction among parents who send their children to public schools. The parents often feel safe and secured that their child is getting a good quality of education and all the investment, that they are making in their beloved child's career and future, is going in a vital cause.

One often notices a certain degree of complacence and satisfaction among parents who send their children to public schools. The parents often feel safe and secured that their child is getting a good quality of education and all the investment, that they are making in their beloved child's career and future, is going in a vital cause. But, is it really so? Are their children actually getting the best education possible? Is all that investment actually paying off?

Supporters of the public school system hail socialization as one of the biggest advantages of the public school pattern. School is said to be the place, which imbibes within the child the fundamental social skills, which help the child throughout his/her life. But, how complete and effective is this socialization?

The answer is both startling as well as apparent. A school-going kids hardly interacts with anyone apart from his/her peers. The only feeling towards kids other than his/her peers is that of fear. A child is clueless on how to interact with adults. In fact, a homeschooling environment is lot closer to the natural environment than the schooling environment.

A regular school has too many restrictions, which bind the growth and development of a child. A child is not allowed to read literature or keep silent. A child cant contemplate deeply about any one thing for the fear of being ridiculed. The school just imparts on all its students an artificial sense of being busy.

This can be a cause for rowdy or even destructive behavior. A school promotes the concept of exam-centric learning, as a result the child is imparted with very less long-standing knowledge. The child may be knowing a lot but has a problem in understanding applying anything. Homeschooling, undoubtedly  makes a child more receptive to the outside world
