Let's take a second to briefly consider the advantages. For one, the parents wouldn't have to wake the kids up at seven in the morning everyday and rush them off to the school with profound urgency. The trouble of waiting anxiously for the kids to come back home, will also be spared. With homeschooling, one can exercise a greater control over the influences over the child. The parents can also keep themselves aware of growth and development of the child and can themselves design the curriculum to suit the needs of the child.

Another important benefit of homeschooling is the individual attention that a child can get according to his/her own preferences and requirements. For example, if a child is good at Math but is lacking in English then he/she can shift some of the Math-time to pay more attention to English. The child has the option of assigning more number of hours to any subject without getting over-burdened with additional pressure.

Homeschooling makes the process of learning and schooling an extended family activity, whereby the parents can involve themselves at every step of the learning process. The child also gets more quality time with his/her parents and is free from peer pressure, regulations and standards of achievement. Freedom from extensive competition is another crucial aspect of this form of schooling. The child is not compared with others at every step of life and is highly confident of his/her abilities. The parents also have the option of mixing difficult tasks with fun activities. For ex, a tough exercise of Calculus can be followed up with a trip to the museum or a theatre.

Homeschooling also gives the parents the option of regulating the religious learning of the child and incorporate their religious beliefs and ideologies into the child. Often in normal schooling, the children are left confused because of the difference in beliefs and ideologies taught at the school and the ones being practiced at home. Homeschooling, allows the parents to avoid such a situation.

The public school system leaves many questions unanswered. Some parents are left feeling that their child is being pushed too hard, whereas some feel quite the opposite. Issues pertaining to discipline and ethics are also quite evident in the public school system. All this makes Homeschooling the best way to teach a child if one has the time, the ability and the interest to follow through the child's education.
