There are so many aspects that you need to look after while choosing the most appropriate time to begin the training for your asperger kid.

As a teacher/parent, you must concentrate on just one behavior at a time otherwise you will find it extremely difficult to handle the whole situation.

The first symptom that your kid is getting ready for the training is when he or she become aware of the need of going to the toilet.

You may notice a lot of changes in his behavior, he may appear distracted when the body become wet or may be he himself would tell you when he needs a change in the  diaper.

After making the decision that the time has come to start a toilet training with your kid, then you will need to begin getting all kinds of compulsory equipments and aids for your kid.
Many parents make use of social stories as an aid to toilet training; the contents in the stories act as a personal guide for both the parent as well as the child.
Social stories of autism contents can be used in many day to day situations and can even provide clues to the child as to what is expected of them when potty training, or may be in any kind of situation.
After careful observation of certain behaviors of the child, you can very well work on certain aspects and can determine which situations they are finding difficult.
Remember, these trainings are never going to be easy but one can try to make them look comfortable by implementing these steps.
