It is true that visually impaired children do not have a lot of experience of what their bodily movements. There are chances that their bodily movements can be delayed in the early years of childhood or they may also face deficits in physical and motor fitness.

These kind of abnormal behavior can lead to an increase in their imbalance and improper coordination as the fact is that visually impaired kids expend more energy in everyday activities than the normal ones. This can further result tension and stress in them. Same is the case with adults who have vision problems. They can also feel socially isolated.

The visually impaired kids as well as adults should indulge themselves in some activities. Going for dance classes can bring a lot of advantages on many different levels. The individuals will learn to listen to instructions as well as how to become a member of a group. Pupils learn how to enhance and express their feelings and emotions physically in a non-aggressive manner in front of  everyone.

The dance sessions would further help in increasing the familiarity with their bodies and help them in learning as to how to use their bodies in the most creative manner. The sessions would improve three aspects majority. They are: Physical flexibility, coordination and cardiovascular fitness.

Classes would also help them in learning team-building and confidence enhancing. Pupils would discover that each and every part of their bodies can register feelings of touch. All the parts... Arms, legs, feet, knees, everything... all register sensations of touch.

It is necessary that these classes should be geared up with rhythm and instrumental work, plenty of singing exercises along with certain movements of the body parts,
body awareness exercises, dancing sessions and more.

Let your child breathe in the fresh air out there. Never capture him/her in the four walls of the house otherwise his imagination power would collapse.

Kjersti Engebrigtsen a Norwegian dance movement therapist writes "it is often said that the blind understand sequence by touching one thing at a time Dancing on the contrary is a simultaneous experience".
