For all, the time at university is one of the most important phases of life. It is considered to be the most fun years of one's life. But, today the students are more eager to pursue their degree online and this enthusiasm seems to get stronger in younger as well as mature students day by day. The possible reason behind this may vary from person to person- whether it's for the sake of convenience, saving money, or just because more subjects are available online to study each year. But, here are a few things you probably won't miss while pursuing your online degree:
The first thing is halls, as the social aspect of halls can be great, but these places are strange for many. Normally, what happens, there will be many students to one kitchen/living area and that is usually a very small area which can cause some strain amongst comradeship if certain people aren't pulling their weight in regards to washing up and so. Two worst things about halls are- first, it is impossible to make your room homely; second, there is a warden, loves his authority.
Secondly, you will not miss shared housing. A few drawbacks of shared housing include, it is far more likely that you'll have a nightmare landlord, and you may soon realise that your excellent rent deal might not be so excellent; some housemates will pay at the right time, others will not; and there is nothing worse than waking up on a dark winter's morning in a house with no electricity.
Then comes transportation. This however, doesn't affect everyone, unless they have their own car, but in certain areas they can be a nightmare.
Morning lectures can also be one of those things that you are not likely to kiss in online course. The fact that students are being expected to be on top learning form at nine o'clock the next morning just doesn't make sense, especially after spending all night trying to make your room homely, and then waking up in an electricity-less house, and then being left at the bus stop for an hour. Very true, the option of being able to take your lectures at any time via online learning seems a great deal in advancement in higher education today.
