Are you having problem with your math grades? Practising and studying more and more can obviously help you improve your grades, but this is not only way to improve the scores. Here a few more tips to improve your scores ahead this academic year:

  • Extra credit: Doing extra credit work as your teacher allows would help you not just now, but in long run. If your teacher is not offering extra credit, ask her if you will get partial extra credit for re-doing the homework problems correctly.
  • Prep work: Try to get ahead of your class by doing some reading on your own at home before the class. This way you will know what to expect in the class and can ask more intelligent questions.
  •  Homework: Never run away
of homework. Instead try to solve the problems on your own and make every possible attempt to complete the homework on time.
  • Be vocal in the classroom: Don't be shy and ask questions in your class if you have any doubt or confusion. This way you will get your doubts cleared right when you have them and also you will know you are paying attention in the classroom.
  • Solve extra problems: Math is about doing practice. Master yourself with practice. The more problems you solve, more confident you will get and you will be able to solve those twisted test questions easily.
  • Learn to be a good test taker: Being a good test taker is all about good timing, knowing your calculator, which problems to tackle first and so on. Read SAT Math problem solving strategies for more tips.
