Many writers discuss about the aspects of developmental disorder and learning disabilities, we will focus on the intellectual gift and what defines many such forms existing in the world today. If we traditionally define it, that it is an intellectual ability that is higher than what we see in most people.

Albert Einstein is one good example of prodigious talent, who developed speech and cognitive functions at such a high rate, that his natural hormones were not able to keep up with the changes. When a child of an acceptable age accelerate through different stages of development defined by scientists, it is called intellectual giftedness. Such children have advanced emotional, sensual, imaginative, intellectual and psychomotor functions that are far more than what a normal child is able to accomplish. They learn quickly and apply information at an astonishing speed, and this is what sets them apart from normal children. They have ability to evolve any information intrinsically and create
completely new things from what they havbe learned. This is why Mozart created fantastic music after getting only basic principles within short time, and re created it with his personal touch.

But the question is, how can you identify giftedness?

There are many ways to recognize this, and most comment are IQ test or events with unconventional testing methods. There are some schools with specialized teacher who identify gifted children, when they fulfill the tenets of proposing theories and a challenging curriculum quickly. This is than broken down in categories like artistic creativity, leadership and academic performance. These are traditional ways of identifying giftedness, while there are better ways of testing it including the advanced application and observation tests.

The gifted children have tendency of perfectionism. They set high standards to do a work. Being fiercely judgemental about themselves makes them in creating social environment restrictive to them as well as people around them. This leads into areas of isolation.
