Stress and anxiety are the two main elements that most students have to face while preparing for tests and exams. One of the main reasons behind such behavior is the high demand for success. It is known fact that students with higher grades have a higher hand in getting into specialty schools such as law, medical and masters degree. Here are the top five tips to get good grades in the final exams and tests:
  • Prepare Well in Advance – Instead of studying everything the night before the exam try to study a week before. This will allow you to clear all your doubts and queries well in advance.
  • Review – Many students realize at the last moment that they don't have all the notes before the test. So it is important to review all your class notes taken at the end of the day. This step will ensure that you learn from the reviewed material and decrease the amount of time needed before the final exam.
  • Flash Cards – It is another great tool to study. To prepare flash cards take a few pieces of cardboard and write down all the questions on one side and their answers on its back. After you have prepared the flash cards quiz yourself. Studying in groups will also help you understand other students perspectives on the material. This step will allow you to think about things you otherwise would not have. You can also organize quiz to see how you do.
  • Breaks – It is extremely important to take a few small breaks while studying to refresh your mind. For example, for every hour you study make sure to take a fifteen minute break. During these breaks do some kind of activity to get the blood flowing and stimulate the brain. However, limit the number of breaks you take.
  • Time Management – Another important study tip is to manage your time properly. This step will ensure you get good grades as well as increase your study speed.
