FIAT to welcome new model next year

Now that the FIAT name and symbol has earned some market recognition among American consumers, FIAT is readying plans to introduce a second model to the US market. The Ellezero by FIAT is scheduled to arrive at American FIAT dealerships, such as Fields FIAT, by early of next year. Of course, with the news of this new model year, comes the anticipation for a vehicle that features our favorite FIAT attributes, while utilizing a new and fresh model design.

The biggest different between the Ellezero and the FIAT cars currently on our Fields FIAT dealership lot is size. While the FIAT 500 Pop, Lounge and Sport varieties, along with the FIAT 500c, all seat four passengers, the Ellezero will have the ability to seat five to seven passengers.

However, do not think FIAT has totally forgotten its roots with the design of the Ellezero. This new vehicle is still considered a sub-compact, especially by Americans' standards. Thus, you can expect the same desirable traits found in the FIAT 500 - such as a compact shape and curve appeal - in the slightly larger Ellezero.

A closer, more intimate look at the FIAT Ellezero will be available at the Geneva Auto Show, scheduled to be held in March of this year. From this public debut, the FIAT Ellezero will head to European markets by July of this year. However, if you are dying to conjure up a mental picture of this new vehicle, think FIAT 500 meets the Scion xB.

The engineers of this vehicle carefully adapted the frame and engine of the FIAT 500 to add a little more spark and a little more oomph in order to form the FIAT 500 Abarth.
