I have earned a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Business; completed certified, advanced graduate studies in Leadership and Administration; and gained certifications in Business. I have over 5 years of teaching experience, I am confident that I posses the qualifications our district needs to promote its philosophy and goals. I am currently a Business Teacher at Hillside High School, where I teach a diverse group of students. My previous position in public school was at Neal Middle School. While in attendance at Neal Middle School in Durham, NC, I organized the Technology presentation for Engineering Week on campus and coordinated the field trip to Southern School of Engineering for the 8th graders to shadow current students in their perspective classes to experience what high school is like and to participate in the engineering simulations provided at the engineering school. These opportunities have enabled me to develop strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills along with other workshops sponsored for the teachers at Neal Middle School (previous employment), which allow me to cultivate a supportive learning environment and reinforce the school standards, policies, and goals. Prior to my new assignment, I worked at Miller-Motte College as an Adjunct Instructor for IT. This experience has awarded the opportunity to explore new assessment strategies with cross curriculum efforts for student interested in pursuing online education. My greatest strengths include, but not limited to: limiting the achievement gap among females to males in technology, and workshop and seminar presentations. Furthermore, I am adept at fostering strong working relationships with all members of the local and school communities.
